Physical Goods is always busy working on what is to come next. Aside from our planned and wonderfully executed monthly gallery shows, we have a variety of “big ideas” that we are throwing around in an attempt to make what we do that much fresher.
Each week we are going to feature an insider’s perspective of something we are currently working on in our ‘Up and Coming’ section of our website. In addition to our daily bloggings, this will help to give you some perspective on what we enjoy to here at Physical Goods.

/// Artist Talks
Were you not able to attend the opening due to too much on your schedule? Everyone enjoys going to the opening night of a gallery show because it gives them their desired direct, and uninterrupted access to the artist to ask them that pestering question, “What’s on your playlist?” Physical Goods is working to give more exposure to their artists by hosting a monthly gallery talk that will fit in tandem to the gallery opening. We even wanna make it even more available by turning it into a podcast, so that you won’t even have to coordinate an opening in your schedule. Fancy, huh?
/// Movie Nites
Ever wondered what influenced your favorite artist, or better yet what is in his or her Netflix que? This is definitely the event for you. Our hope in doing movie nights is to expose the community to the movie-image influences of our monthly artist shows. As a part of our getting to know each artist, we want to find out their favorite movies, and yes, show them all to you. Keep your eyes and hears posted for buzz on the street when this launches.

Ever wanted to be as capable as one of our artists, or even just know the best ways to edit and produce something? Physical Goods loves giving access to education and the dissemination of creative knowledge, and because of that we are working on getting a monthly workshop together that will give gallery participants a hands on approach to making and creating.

Physical Goods always loves a challenge, and we are assuming that much like us, so do you! Every few months we want to send an idea out into the community and get your visual responses. Are you up for the challenge? Stay tuned, I think one might be coming right around the corner.
